Our goal is to help you better understand your risk of flooding and provide you with the latest technology and tools to manage that risk.

Flood Monitoring and Modeling

NRP has the ability to deploy continuous water level monitoring systems to collect water level data for any site. This is critical in developing an accurate hydrodynamic model to simulate the existing conditions before being able to study future project alternatives.

Flood Forecasting

We can develop a flood forecasting model with the ability to input forecast rainfall data from NOAA and simulate future flood levels throughout a specified area.

A flood forecasting system can be used to:

  • Inform the public where, when, how high, and how long flooding will occur
  • Predict road closures and openings due to flooding

Floodplain Mitigation

With the recent boom in developments and the lack of comprehensive impact assessments over the last 15 years, it is essential we revisit flood prone areas to study and implement projects which can mitigate flooding. NRP can work with you to identify the flood risks facilitate effective and innovative ways to mitigate these risks.

Floodplain Management

With the advancement of technology we can now forecast where, how much, and what type of future developments within the floodplain should be to maintain or even reduce the risks of flooding. We can help you develop these critical floodplain management practices which are vital to maintaining control of your floodplain.

Hydrodynamic Model Simulations
