Chess pie

Ingredients

1 stick (½ cup) butter, melted
1 ½ cups sugar
3 eggs
2 Tbsp flour mixed with 2 Tbsp yellow cornmeal
¼ cup lemon juice
½ cup cream or half and half
1 tsp vanilla
1 unbaked pie shell


Steps

Whisk all ingredients together and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. This pie is good served hot or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.


*Great additions to the Chess pie are either:
Blueberries
Coconut
Raspberries
